His mother was a high ranking officer, known for her strict rules, immense strength and knowledge of magic. Jayant looked up to her- and also envied her. His father wasn't much-- less impressive and Jayant thought of his as not much of a "man." But he was a very rich noble that had treasures from different planets. One case of imported luxuries was where he discovered the metal gold. It was very scarce on his planet, while other metals such as steel and iron were abundant. Being drawn by its shiny exterior and how he looked in it, a small obsession began. 

    Daily life was mostly training under his mother's wing and constant strength building. He grew up to be fairly strong-- not close to her but what was considerable for his age. An interest in magic peaked as one day he witnessed another magic user displaying their magic publicly. It wasn't a common occurrence. Being an enthusiast when it came to magic, his mother spoke to the magic user and they spoke of how they attended a school to further their experience and training. 

    This gave her the idea to enroll her son in this magic school. It would do a better job at teaching him than she would be capable of. His use of magic was very-- bare to began with. So wanting to get powerful in this field was of interest to him. He even had an idea in the back of his head that this way of battle would be more superior and lower the military casualties. He was willing to be a representative of this.

-His magic enhances his combat skills instead of primarily relying on magic to fight.

-Always has gold chains, bracelets, other accessories. 

-Prefers to do things in the same routine since that's what he's familiar with. 

-Self conscious about how his looks are perceived once the skin is removed. 

-Hedonist and enjoys doing things that bring him pleasure. Typically it's getting jewelry and gold.

-Doesn't understand customs considered to be "normal." 

-Uses his palms to taste things before eating them.
